STRATIFY-2

JCV Antibody Program in Patients with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis Receiving or Considering Treatment with Tysabri®: STRATIFY-2

Learn More About the STRATIFY-2 Study

What is the STRATIFY-2 Study?
The STRATIFY-2 Study will identify multiple sclerosis (MS) patients who have a specific antibody in their blood against the JC virus (JCV). Antibodies are produced by the body's immune system when it detects foreign substances. It is thought that approximately half of MS patients have antibodies to JCV. The purpose of STRATIFY-2 is to gather more information about how many MS patients being treated with TYSABRI® or who are considering beginning Tysabri have the JCV antibody in their blood and to better understand whether antibodies to JCV may be used to predict whether a patient is at higher or lower risk for developing PML

Who can participate in the STRATIFY-2 Study?
Only MS patients in the TOUCH Program and MS patients considering treatment with Tysabri can participate in this study. If you are participating in any other Tysabri clinical trial, you are not eligible to participate.

Why should I join?
If you agree to participate, you will help doctors collect information on how many MS patients have JCV antibodies and the relationship between JCV antibodies and development of PML. This information may benefit other people with MS in the future. There are no direct health benefits to you for participating in this study.

Can I change my mind?
It is always your choice to be in a study. If you sign up and later decide you do not want to continue, you may stop at any time. Simply tell your doctor. This will not affect the medical care you receive from your doctor for your MS.

What if I have questions?
If you have questions about the study or your treatment at any time during the study, ask your doctor.
